Psychotherapy : Explore, Nurture, Heal, Grow, Fly
So many things I would have done
But clouds got in my way…

Why Psychotherapy? Are you living in the shadows, afraid to be everything you could be? Do your past experiences keep resurfacing and holding you back? Do you feel trapped in a situation which is unhealthy, uncomfortable, or unhappy? Are feelings of anxiety, guilt, and shame stopping you from moving forwards to where you’d rather be? Are you feeling small or unworthy, exhausted by striving to meet impossible demands? Are you stuck in a rut, the same issues coming up over and over again?
Whatever thoughts, feelings or experiences are stopping you living the life you want to live, I can offer you a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space to feel supported, to explore and re-evaluate, to bring a sense of clarity and a fuller understanding, bringing about change and finding a focus for moving forward to who, where and how you want to be.
If quick-fixes and short-term interventions haven’t worked for you, and you want your life to change for the better, you’re in the right place. I offer a variety of ways of working to make it easier to get the help you need. Working together we could make your life feel more vibrant and free, with you feeling more in control, setting the direction, changing course.
Psychotherapy sessions offer a safe and non-judgemental space for us to work together to explore more deeply the roots of ongoing psychological and emotional issues which may be affecting your ability to engage with and enjoy life. We may address common mental health and wellbeing issues using relevant theories and research based tools and techniques to help us develop and employ treatment plans.
How we will work together
However we decide to meet for sessions, we will work with you to build a trusting, open and supportive relationship, and give you space to feel heard as we work together towards your goals.
We specialise in supporting people to address long-standing and deep-rooted issues, working at depth, for example with issues arising from early complex trauma.
Our approach is integrative, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed, which means that we are able to integrate different approaches, tools and techniques to suit your issues and preferred ways of working.
We believe that experiencing warmth, empathy and openness can help people heal, grow and develop in the ways that are best for them, to tune into inner resources, overcome challenges and identify and realise life aspirations.
Though most of us struggle with life somewhere along the way, we understand that it can take tremendous courage to decide to seek help, and to invest the time and energy to try to make changes.
We will bring the best that we know from our studies and experience and share this openly with you. You can expect a sustained and focused therapeutic alliance that does not shy away from complexity or challenge. We will be transparent and direct – we will not hide behind authority and will have high regard for you as a person. We will regard you as a whole person, mind, body and spirit. You can expect honesty from us and we will always have compassion and empathy for you in all that we do.
